Generating a Web Page

One of FastTracks V2's advanced features is the ability to generate a Ready-to-Publish Fully Indexed HTML SongBook for the Web.

To do so, click _bm57.png from the Main SongBook Menu.

The following dialog will appear.

·   You'll notice that FastTracks has provided a suggested name for your HTML SongBook Name. You may override this and enter any name you desire. This name is used to create the SongBook directory where all files will be generated and stored on your system.  
·   Enter your desired Web Page Title, this Title appears in the title bar of most web browsers.  
·   Enter your desired Web Page Heading. This heading appears at the top of all generated web pages.  
·   Enter the URL of your "home page" (ie. www.yourweb.com/index.html), this is necessary to ensure the "Home" link found on all generated pages works correctly.  
 
NEW! You may now further customize the look of your "SongBook for the Web!"  
 
·   Click "Customize"

·   Click each Component button to select your desired color.  
·   And if you wish even more customization..  
·Click "HTML Embed Points"

Here you may enter "HTML Code" to be embedded into THREE points on ALL pages generated.  
Great for adding wallpaper, logos, java script etc. to your SongBook for the Web!  


·      When you're all done "customizing" your SongBook for the Web, Click "Compose Web Pages"

A progress dialog will appear.

After the Web Pages have been generated you'll be presented with the following screen.

Click "View HTML SongBook" to automatically launch your Web Browser and preview your new HTML SongBook!

To publish your new HTML SongBook to your website follow these steps....
·   Create a new directory on your web server named "SongBook"  
·   Copy all files found in the "SongBook Web Pages Directory" displayed on the screen to the new "SongBook" directory on your web server.  
·   Create a link on your "Home Page" to the main "index.htm" file in the "SongBook" directory on your web server. (ie:http:/www.yourdomain.com/SongBook/)  

You may edit the HTML file to create the look and feel you desire. Consult an HTML reference for further information on how to modify HTML code.
