Working with the SongBook

| After you've opened a SongBook you'll be presented with the following screen.
|
|
|
| (If you're working with an existing SongBook you'll also see a listing of the songs currently in the SongBook)
|
|
|
|
|
| · | First you'll notice the path and file name of the open SongBook is displayed at the top of the screen.
|
| · | Just below you'll find the Main SongBook Menu buttons. You'll use these buttons to perform the various processing tasks.
|
|
|
|
|
|
| The menu buttons perform the following tasks....
|
| (Refer to their corresponding sections for further instructions)
|
|
|
|
| Add Disc(s) to Open SongBook - Add the Song Tracks found on your Manufactured discs to your SongBook.
|
|
| Add Individual Song Tracks = Adding Individual Song Tracks
|
|
|
|
| Editing Song Tracks - Edit the highlighted Song Track. You can edit the Title, Artist, or Track.
|
|
|
|
| Delete Song Track- DELETE the highlighted Song Track or DELETE ALL of the Song Tracks residing on the corresponding disc.
|
|
|
|
| Renumber Disc(s)- Renumber your Disc(s) for easy cataloging.
|
|
|
|
| Importing Song Listings - Import a comma-delimited CSV file listing into the open SongBook. Most SongBook and Spreadsheet applications support CSV file exporting.
|
|
|
|
| Export Song Listings - Export Song Listings to a comma-delimited CSV file. Most SongBook and Spreadsheet applications support CSV importing.
|
|
|
|
| Generate A Fully Indexed HTML SongBook for the Web. - Automagically generate a ready-to-publish, indexed HTML SongBook.
|
|
|
|
| Print - Design and Print SongBooks , Custom CD Labels , Song Request Slips. and
|
|
|
|
| Close SongBook - Closes the open SongBook.
|
|
|
|

| Viewing/Editing Main SongBase - View or Edit FastTracks V2's Main SongBase.

|
|
| Help System - Access the built-in Help system.
|
|
|
|
|
| Below the Main Menu you'll find the three "Song Listing Sort" menu buttons.
|
|
| · | Clicking on each button resorts the displayed song listings accordingly.
|
|
|
| Then comes the "SongBook Search Tool".
|
|
| · | Depending on the Sort Order you have selected, you may enter the corresponding Search text. (ie. If you've selected the "Artist" sort order, you may enter any text to search for in the "Artist" field.)
|
| · | Select the desired "Search Mode".
|
| · | Selecting "Begins with..." will find all listings that "Begin with" the search text.
|
| · | Selecting "Contains..." will find all listings that "Contain" the search text.
|
| · | Click "Search to find the "First" listing that meets the search criteria.
|
| · | Clicking "Next" will find the "Next" listing that meets the search criteria.
|
|
|
| And finally you'll see the "Song Listing Window"
|
|
| Here's where you Song Listings will appear.
|
| · | To work with a listing simply highlight the listing by single clicking on your selection and click the desired action from the Main Menu.
